With Manitoba’s prompt payment and adjudication framework now in place, this session helps clarify what the rules require and how they apply to your projects. You’ll get a refresher on the statutory timelines, payment requirements, and how adjudication fits into the process. We’ll also discuss what has been seen so far in Manitoba since the legislation came into force and offer practical guidance on updating contracts, invoicing, and internal workflows to stay compliant.
You’ll learn which disputes can go to adjudication, who can initiate the process, and what to expect once it begins. This session is designed to help owners, contractors, subcontractors, and consultants navigate Manitoba’s payment rules with clarity and confidence.

Jon’s practice is focused primarily on construction law and civil litigation, providing advice to owners, architects, engineers, general contractors, subcontractors and suppliers in all aspects of construction law.
