Description
Understanding Construction Documents (UCD) will provide you with an overview of the various construction documents and how they work together. This session is designed to give you a solid understanding of how specifications are organized and why it’s important for EVERY trade on the project to review and understand how they impact each trade price.
In this one-day session, you will focus on construction drawings and how they are organized, including instruction on symbols, notes and abbreviations and what they all mean. You will also examine how drawings and specs work together and discuss what is often missed but must be considered in preparing bids. This course will also provide you with a set of drawings from a recent project and will work through a series of exercises to understand the process.

Bonnie is a highly driven, results oriented professional with over 25 years of construction experience. Bonnie advanced quickly through various positions in construction having started her career sweeping saw dust off floors. After achieving a Carpentry diploma, she became a Foreman, Project Coordinator, Estimator, Business Owner, Project Manager and RRC Construction Project Management Instructor. Her unique experience as a Subcontractor, Prime Contractor, and Owner has taught her the importance of a cooperative environment.
Bonnie enjoys learning and mentoring. She is also a Certified Professional Coach.
