Change Happens: Lead Your Crew with Confidence

Part of the Building Supervisors into Leaders (BSL) program.

Description

Do changes in your working environment leave you feeling overwhelmed? Do you get frustrated and experience a lack of communication or dissention within your team? In construction, it’s not if change happens, but when. Changes in construction affect everyone -- general contractors, subcontractors, supervisors, journeymen and apprentices.

Lead your crew through change with confidence and professionalism. In this session, you will learn tactics to strategically empower yourself and guide your team successfully through the numerous changes that come your way.

Topics:

  • Define how change comes at you and why it can feel so overwhelming
  • Learn how people see change differently and how it affects your crew and/or jobsite
  • Discover how you as the leader can create a solid strategy to reduce the negative impact when change comes your way
  • Develop eight tactical steps to protect yourself and your crew as you lead them through changes to get the job done

Intended Audience

Construction Supervisors looking to refine and enhance their leadership skills. To maximize your learning experience, ideally you will have completed the BST program and/or have experience leading teams.
