AI in Construction: Practical Productivity Tools

A practical, hands-on course for construction professionals.

Description

Artificial intelligence tools like ChatGPT are increasingly part of everyday construction work, but many professionals aren’t using them in ways that actually save time or improve results. This in-person, hands-on course focuses on using AI as a practical productivity and efficiency tool, helping you streamline routine tasks, reduce rework, and improve the quality of everyday outputs—without replacing professional judgment.

This course is grounded in real construction work, not theory. You’ll work through practical exercises using emails, reports, summaries, planning notes, and decision-support tasks. The focus is disciplined, efficient use of AI: learning where it meaningfully speeds up work, where it improves clarity and consistency, and where it doesn’t belong.

Topics:

  • Finding everyday tasks where AI can actually save you time
  • Knowing when AI helps and when it doesn’t belong
  • Writing better prompts so you get useful answers faster
  • Using AI to clean up emails, reports, and internal communication
  • Turning rough notes or long documents into clear, usable summaries
  • Using AI to support planning, estimating, and decision-making
  • Setting simple, practical rules for responsible AI use at work

Intended Audience

This course is best suited for construction professionals who are already familiar with AI and have a basic understanding of how AI tools are used in day-to-day work. Including:

  • Project managers, senior project managers, coordinators, and estimators
  • Office and project support staff involved in documentation, reporting, or planning
  • Leaders and professionals who already use (or have tried) AI tools and want to use them better
  • Teams looking to improve efficiency, consistency, and quality in day-to-day work
