BST: Construction Industry Ethics

Part of the Building Supervisors for Tomorrow (BST) program and one of the required courses of Gold Seal Certification.

Description

Trust is one of the most important things you bring to the job as a supervisor. Whether it’s your crew, other trades, or senior managers—you lead best when people believe in your integrity.

This course explores how ethical behaviour shows up on the job site. You’ll look at how to make sound decisions, build trust, and deal with issues fairly and consistently. You’ll also talk about how ethics tie into law, leadership, and business success. Real-world examples will help you connect the dots and understand how an ethical approach protects your people—and your company.

Topics:

  • What “ethical behaviour” looks like in construction

  • Why ethics matter in business

  • Ethics and the law

  • The link between ethics and company success

  • How to make ethical decisions under pressure

Note: This course is approved Construction Industry Ethics courses for Gold Seal Certification (worth 3 credits).
