Coaching Skills for Supervisors
Part of the Building Supervisors for Tomorrow (BST) program.
Description
Good supervisors don’t just manage—they coach.
In this session, you’ll learn how to use coaching as a practical tool to improve performance, build accountability, and support your crew’s development. You’ll get clear on what coaching really is (and how it’s different from mentoring or discipline), and walk away with strategies you can use right away on-site.
We’ll explore how to coach strong performance, how to tackle performance issues, and how to keep the focus on behaviour—not personality. You’ll also get hands-on practice using a proven coaching model and learn how to handle defensive reactions in a constructive way.
