City of Winnipeg: Social Procurement Contract Reporting

If you're interested in working with the City of Winnipeg, this session is a must-attend to understand what's needed.

Description

City Council voted in 2022 to adopt the Sustainable Procurement Action Plan.  As a part of that plan, they have developed a list of contractual clauses that may be included on City tenders as a part of the contract delivery. The social value clauses will be specific to employment of equity groups and Indigenous Rightsholders, training and apprenticeship opportunities, and purchasing from social value suppliers like Social Enterprises, diverse-owned businesses, and Indigenous businesses. This session will walk through the Social Value Menu, supporting tools and how to use them, and include a question-and-answer portion.

This session is for you if you are:

  • A City contractor who wants to be able to compete successfully on the City’s social procurement evaluations by incorporating social value into your supply chain
  • A potential subcontractor who may need to report on your employment, purchasing and training activities
  • A General or Trade Contractor that does or wants to do ANY work with the City of Winnipeg
